Leonid Sokolov (1937) started forming as an artist in Boris Birger's studio in the 60es.
Birger's school provided a basis for developing artistic skills and allowed the artist to express his identity. Sokolov himself says that he “paints colorful air”, and it is really so.
His works are full of light, colour, rhythm and contrast.
Sokolov’s works were displayed at many domestic and foreign exhibitions. His personal exhibitions were held in Berlin Academy in 1992 and in a private gallery in Paris.
Leonid Sokolov is a member of the International Arts Fund.
